I have finally found the thing that will relieve my IT Band pain. My BodyPump friend Melissa is an awesome athlete and yogi, and she showed me this stretch the other day. At first I didn’t think it was getting the spot that needed to be… gotten. But I’ve done this stretch all week and I feel so much better. I’ve run every day. And I’m not hurting like I was.
I’m so excited, I made you a Vlog to mark the occasion. It’s unedited because I’m in the middle of a computer upgrade and because I’m lazy. But also because I’m SO STINKING EXCITED to share this with you. Sooooo many runners deal with IT Band pain, and while this has helped me with the IT Band insertion point pain, I can feel that nice stretch all down my leg and I think it will help anyone who’s been asking a leeeetle too much of the ITB. Enjoy!

Remember, I’m no MD or PT or anything else like that. Just a runner who loves a good stretch.

Thanks for sharing!! My IT band definitely gets cranky with me. Also (just in case you ever get tired of that stretch) the yoga “Pigeon pose” is a great one…and I like it because it doesn’t require much balance 😉
